About Write Act Repertory Theatre in Hollywood
The third installment of Write Act Rep's "Women Inventing Theatre" spotlights seven of the best and brightest local female playwrights by mounting their one acts, each with the theme of "Connections". The stories range from comic satires on how texting and tweeting affects modern relationships, lost love and romance in and out of a goldfish bowl, to thoughtful examinations of motherhood, break-ups and dashed expectations. But there's some hopeful romance as well. All performances also feature a "Meet and Greet the Artists" reception following the show.
