About Lounge Theatre in Los Angeles
A 12-character, one-man show about the realities of the modern urban classroom, "Did You Do Your Homework?" returns to Los Angeles following its acclaimed 2009 run at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and a recent reprisal at Asylum Lab Theatre. In turns comic, tragic and inspiring, "Homework" is staged by writer-director Aaron Braxton, who has 14 years of experience teaching in L.A. schools. The reality-based show, which follows a substitute teacher's journey through the bureaucracy of the system, garnered a 2010 NAACP National Theatre Award, among other accolades, and caused "Back Stage" to hail the show as "powerful" and commend Braxton as "a compelling spokesperson."
