About Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles
A tragicomic historical fantasy play, "Hunger: In Bed With Roy Cohn" imagines the infamous American attorney -- who played a prominent role in both the Rosenberg trial and the anti-communist McCarthy hearings -- on his death bed. There, in a sort of purgatory of the mind, Cohn must contend with visions of people from his past, and ponder a life that might have been (mostly thanks to his dancing inner child, who urges him to finally "come out"). Jules Aaron directs the play, which was written by Joan Beber and features choreography by Kay Cole and original music by Max Kinberg.
